Medium Grain White Rice

I have sourced a supply of Medium Grain White Rice through a west coast supplier. Medium grain white rice typically has a bit richer flavor than that of long grain white, and is slightly stickier. White rice has a shelf life of 25-30 years when stored properly. The best I’ve found is to place the grain in a heavy 4-5 gallon bucket with a good seal, along with some dry ice or oxygen absorbers to remove oxygen.

The rice is packed in 50 pound bags and will cost $30.00 per bag, or $0.60/pound. With exception of Sam’s Club, most suppliers price white rice over $1.00/pound. The problem with Sam’s Club is they have a limit of 1 bag per customer. This event will provide you the opportunity to stock-up if that’s your goal.

If you don’t have the wherewithal to send the completed form to me, call 801-599-5519 and I will complete one for you.

Make checks payable to Kim Hayes.  Cash and VENMO will be accepted too.  All orders need to be in and prepaid by Monday November 18th.  If there are questions, you are welcome to contact me at the aforementioned number. My VENMO account ID is “@kim-hayes-78”.

Orders will be available for pick-up at my home in Mount Pleasant around December 3rd.  The address is 20055 N 11875 E, Mount Pleasant.  However, if you plan to use Google Maps for navigation, don’t enter the aforementioned address.  Rather, enter the cross streets of Mountville Highway and Cove Creek Road.  When you come to that junction, go East on Cove Creek Road ½ Mile.  My  home is the dark brown rambler on the left.
