Statement of Purpose:
In light of the wake-up call of Covid-19, and anticipating possible future crises, we, a few concerned citizens of Sanpete County, have joined together for the purpose of support for ourselves and others in our communities. In times of trouble our communities will need FOOD, HEALING, SECURITY, a SENSE OF BELONGING, and other RESOURCES.
We present ourselves as ready and willing to assist any other organization, such as government or church, during a time of emergency as partners and willing volunteers, as well as a source of education.
Studies of disaster outcomes have revealed that people who were NOT part of a group were much MORE LIKELY to suffer and/or perish when disasters occurred than those who worked together to jointly respond to the situation. These latter individuals were MUCH MORE LIKELY TO SURVIVE and THRIVE.

If It Is Up To Us, What Can We Do?
“It’s the action, not the fruit of the action, that’s important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there’ll be any fruit. But that doesn’t men you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result.”
—Mahatma Gandhi
